Welcome to
Swinetology
The word Swinetology literally means "the study of the swine."
It comes from the Latin word "scio" meaning "knowing in the fullest
sense of the word" and the ancient farmers word "swine" meaning "PORK!".
We do not descriminate, we also accept beef and chicken into our congregation at the church of swinetology.
Montana was good to us, we had a great time and won a trophy

The barbecue season is coming to a close. For some of you this just means no more bbq related spam.
For others, there's two events to put on the calendar:
September 9th - Soapbox Derby (Next Saturday)
In an effort to make the Seattle trip as cost free as possible, we're going to
sell barbecue at the Soapbox Derby this year. We'll sell pork sandwiches,
a veg option, sides and water. Everything will be cooked beforehand, on site will just be
warming it up.
So we all need to volunteer a few hours to staff the booth. The derby runs from about 9 to 3,
with the latter half being more important as far as selling. This should be a fun day.
We'll get a front seat for the derby, hopefully make some money for seattle, and there's a party afterwards.
So please let me know if you'll be in town and able to help out (and any time constraints). By Friday would be helpful.
And tell your friends about the derby and that they should visit the church of swinetology there!
September 16-17th - Seattle - Washington State Championship
This will be the final event of the season.
It will be on a beach front park in Seattle. This will be a competition only, no fair or rodeo, so
the Americana aspect will be missing. However, you'll be able to explore Seattle in your spare time.
We'll likely get a hotel room nearby to crash when needed.
This is a Saturday/Sunday event, ending Sunday afternoon around 5.
There is a dessert and "anything but" category, if anyone wants to take the lead with
those please say so. There are cash prizes for those but they don't count towards your
overall score.
Ok, so please let me know what events you're up for.
Thanks,
Gerard
